Japan's Financial Services Agency Issues Warning To Binance.com
Japan's Financial Services Agency, the top regulator in Japan, issued a warning on Friday to Binance, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges.
The FSA confirmed news on Thursday that suggested Binance was going to be warned by the regulator given its lack of a license. The statement however didn't not entail whether the regulator is weighing criminal charges, as was indicated in the previous report from Nikkei.
In a response to the FSA statement, Binance's CEO, Zhao Changpeng, confirmed receipt of the warning letter and stated that they are in dialogue with the agency. He stated on twitter:
Bitcoin (BTC) is currently trading down 6.17 % over the last 24 hours at $8,497.07 usd
