Here's what's going on in the crypto markets today;
The cryptocurrency markets are down 1.68% over the past 24 hours with the total market cap sitting around $292 billion. Tether (the stable coin pegged to the US dollar) overtook Tron (TRX) to become the 10th largest coin by market cap size. Bitcoin dominance has continued to rise to 48% which has been dragging down the price of many alt coins. Bitcoin is currently down 0.46% over the past 24 hours and is trading at $8,148.04 on Coinbase. If BTC falls below the $8,100 support level, it is possible for BTC to test the next lower support level at $8,000 and possibly see a drop below the $8,000 mark to around $7,800. If BTC finds stability in the lower end of the $8,000 region, a short-term bottom will likely be found at $8,000, with an expected recovery to around $8,500.
